Dimapur police imposes prohibitory order under section 144 CrPC along Chumoukedima-Peren border area
Dimapur, Nov. 30 (EMN): The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has issued a prohibitory order under section 144 CrPC along the Chumoukedima-Peren border belt over apprehension caused by the movement of anti-social elements in the area, saying that it could result in breach of peace, endangering human life and property including agriculture produce.
The order ‘prohibits assembly of more than five persons, carrying lethal weapons and firearms including lathis, dagger, machete, sticks, spears, catapults or any other dangerous articles in the highway stretch from Vihuto village – Khehoyi village – Kiyevi village area and along the Chumoukedima-Peren border belt’.
The order will come into effect from 6 am on December 1, 2022 and remain enforced until further order.
Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie updated that such an action is necessary to preserve peace and prevent breach of law and order.
