DHEW Zunheboto holds awareness on women centric legislation

DIMAPUR — In continuation with 100 days special awareness campaign, SANKALP-DHEW Mission Shakti, Zunheboto, in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, organised an awareness sessions on the theme “Women centric legislations” at Zunheboto Higher Secondary School (ZHSS) and Zunheboto Government College (ZGC) on July 23.

The district mission coordinator of District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Zunheboto, Ikali Wokhami, was the chairperson, state a DIPR report.

It stated that the district programme officer of Social Welfare-cum-nodal officer (Mission Shakti), Zunheboto, Bonathung Ngullie, shared on various schemes under Social Welfare Department and encouraged the students to know their rights and keep themselves updated with various laws especially for women.

In the awareness session, Advocate and Panel Lawyer of DLSA Zunheboto, Inolito Ayemi, spoke on women centric laws to educate the student participants.
