DGNK, BNPL services now available in Nagaland post offices
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland division of the department of Posts has informed the general public that Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra (DGNK) and Post Book Now Pay Later (BNLP) services are now available in post offices.
According to a DIPR report, the Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra (post office export centre) is a Government of India initiative for prospective entrepreneurs interested in starting small-scale foreign exports, with a special focus on the northeastern states.
DGNK is solely meant for foreign exports supported by the centre, which are both legal and commercial. Anyone interested in legally availing such services must have a valid GSTIN and register on the DGNK website in order to obtain an import-export code (IEC) from the director general of export’s website (www.dgft.gov.in) for a fee of INR 500.
The advantages of DGNK include the elimination of the middleman, the reduction of customs problems, the direct delivery of mail bags to the Foreign Post Office in Kolkata, and the provision of pick-up services, among other things.
Customers can book foreign export articles at the following DGNK locations in Nagaland: Kohima HPO, Dimapur MDG, Mokokchung MDG, Wokha Sub Post Office, and Chümoukedima Sub Post Office.
The BNPL service is an e-commerce parcel mailing solution suitable for bulk mailers and institutions. This service allows regular bulk mailers to avoid long lines and pay later at the end of the month.
This service is available to any private individual, education institution, PSU, business institution, nationalised bank, e-commerce business, or government institution.
To use this service, interested customers or mailers must sign a contract for a maximum of three years that is subject to renewal at least two months before the expiration date.
