DIMAPUR — Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF), while condemning the murder of Talukdar, said that it is very disheartening to hear of such inhumane incidences happening in Dimapur.
It questioned in a note that if a GB can be murdered openly in a bazaar area, where will the common man’s sense of security be?
Stating that the concerned department needs to thoroughly investigate, book the culprits, disclose the names of the perpetrators, punish them as per the law of the land and also bring back a sense of security among the denizens, the forum appealed against resorting to violence and instead advocated for dialogue to resolve any differences.
Furthermore, it stated that no one has the right to engage in violence against anyone, regardless of community or tribe.
The DDCF extended its heartfelt condolences to late Talukdar’s family and prayed that Almighty God would provide them with strength, comfort, and solace during this difficult time.
