DDBA selects players for Nagaland Olympic Games

Dimapur, Aug. 4 (EMN): The Dimapur District Basketball Association (DDBA) conducted selection trials for both men and women categories at JV Rise Basketball Court, Signal Angami, on August 3.

According to an update, the selection trials shortlisted players to represent Dimapur district at the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games from August 22 to the 27th at Kohima.

The men’s team includes Chumbenthung, Rajan, Vikuo, Keneingutuo, Rongsennungba, Rilise, Imsuren, Bendang, Changsang, Kamlenmang, Sanenlong and Tovika. The women’s team will be represented by Kivitoli, Ropila, Temjenrenla, Senole, Kenyuni, Thokchom, Webi-u, Lunshila, Imchakumla, Novingbeni, Maria and Lituna.

Alanthung and Tiameren will lead the men’s team while Imchenchang and Kallol will lead the women’s team as coach and manager respectively. The selectors during the trials were Tiameren Amri (convener), Alanthung Ngullie, Imchenchang Imchen, Rajan Nayak and Chumbenthung Humtsoe, it stated.
