DC Tuensang to set up another relief and night shift camp
DIMAPUR — Following report of escalating situation, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, informed that another relief camp and night shift camp would be activated in the coming days.
The DC stated this during an emergency meeting held at a relief camp in Tuensang village C Khel on August 5. The DC also highlighted the role and responsibilities of different departments at the relief camp, stated a DIPR report.
She informed that anyone coming and leaving the relief camp must be reported at the DDMA camp in Tuensang village C khel for information and recordings. She further stated that any report to the media should be made through its media officer with the approval of responsible officers of DDMA, incidental commander and deputy incidental commander.
The DDMA nodal officer, Temsu Wangshi Jamir, informed that relief camp would also function as consulting and rehabilitation centre where daily wage workers would be paid at the centre after working at the relief camp.
DC issues travel advisor
The deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, informed that National Highway 202 at Km 50.00 between Longkhim and Mangaki has been restored for light motor vehicles. The DC, however, stated the movement of heavy vehicles would remain closed till further order.
