The Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong M. Luikham IAS along with Officers from Forest Department, PHED, Electric Department, Superitendent of Police, etc have closely inspected the Mini Secretariat Tamenglong complex which was left isolated after the inauguration since 2011.
It may be mentioned here that the Zeliangrong Youth Front Assam Manipur and Nagaland is shuting all government offices in Tamenglong, banned all national and international projects in Tamenglong district for not shifting (relocate) the offices in the Mini Secretariate Complex Tamenglong which was left isolated since 2011 November after the inauguration.During the inspection the officials’ team found incompletion buildings, broken window glases, water leaking from roof, lack of drinking water, incomplete electric wiring, etc and all tall buildings were found very dirty condition.
Speaking to the reporters, M Luikham after the inspection said that the government will take atlest 3 to 4 months to complete and shift the office.
In the meantime, regarding lack of drinking water, the EE PHED said that the department will take at 15 days to supply water. The department has completed construction of water reservoir and water has reached the tanker.
The Zeliangrong Youth Front is agitating to shift the offices, but the present condition of the mini secretariat complex is not ready, DC Tamenglong said.
The Zeliangrong Youth Front should see and know the ground reality and understand the fact. They should know give and take cooperation and they should not go into crucial agitation, he added.
