DC Mokokchung inspects Dikhu Bailey Bridge

Mokokchung, Aug. 31 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, along with a team of officials inspected the Dikhu Bailey Bridge on the NH-202 along the Mokokchung-Tuensang road on Wednesday.

The inspecting team included commandant of 23 Assam Rifles, Viplove; Mokokchung superintendent of police, KM Aotula T Imchem along with her Tuensang counterparts; ADC of Longkhim, Phulebhe K Yepthomi; and NH-202 Mokokchung-Tuensang engineer, L Akum; and council members from Longsa village.

After the spot inspection, the team concluded that due to poor condition of the bridge, only light motor vehicles (LMVs) and passenger-carrying vehicles would be allowed to ply on the bridge. All the goods-carrying (loaded) vehicles are to be diverted through Longmisa village Mokokchung to Thronger village in Tuensang till further arrangement is made.
