DC Dimapur lauds public for successful conduct of social work
DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, has expressed gratitude to all the participants and organisations involved in the mass social work, which was conducted across the district for the upcoming festive season on Friday.
A DIPR report stated that the event saw remarkable cooperation from various departments including the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), East Dimaput Town Council (EDTC), Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD), GBs and the chairpersons of wards and colonies.
Dr. Chang has attributed the success to the combined efforts of all stakeholders and citizens. He emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness in public spaces and appealed to both residents and shopkeepers to uphold sanitation in their surroundings.
Additionally, the DC urged restaurants and food vendors to prioritise hygiene to ensure a healthier environment for the public.
The mass social work campaign was part of the ongoing efforts for the festive season to enhance cleanliness and foster community responsibility in Dimapur district.
Dr. Chang further expressed optimism about continued collaboration among the public and organisations for a cleaner and greener Dimapur.
Similar programmes were held in Zunheboto, Chümoukedima, Peren, Tuensang, Niuland, Wokha, Mon, and Medziphema.
