DIMAPUR— The 45 Assam Rifles (E Coy), Bhandari, organised an open basketball tournament at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS) Bhandari, from July 11 to the 16th. The DBHSS team emerged champions by defeating Net Rippers and walked away with cash prize of INR 20,000 besides certificates and a trophy, while Net Rippers received INR 5000.
Maj RajatYadav, who gave away the prizes, encouraged the nine participating teams and the youth to come together to build good habits, create positive outlook and learn to face challenges with skills and confidence through sporting events for a healthy and productive life, an official update stated.
Village council members, public leaders, and the public lauded and acknowledged the 45 Assam Rifles for giving a healthy platform to the youth of the area.
