DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) has appreciated the people of Nagaland for the peaceful conduct of the just concluded Lok Sabha election and termed the exemplary manner in which the democratic process unfolded as a testament to the commitment of citizens to uphold the values of democracy and participate in nation-building.
DAYO also expressed solidarity with the ENPO tribes for their principled stance and decision to abstain from participating in the election process.
“Their unwavering dedication and determination to their conviction is commendable and serves as a source of inspiration for the rest of the Nagas,” DAYO said.
It added that the peaceful atmosphere during the elections not only reflected the maturity of the electorate but also set a positive precedent for future electoral processes in the region. It was of the opinion that through such collective efforts and mutual respect that the people can continue to strengthen the democratic institutions and foster unity among the diverse communities.
As an organisation committed to the well-being and progress of our society, DAYO further pledged to continue to work towards the advancement of the state and ensure that the voices of all its citizens are heard and respected.
