DABA youth promotes indigenous products
DIMAPUR — ‘Made in DABA VIII,’ an initiative of Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) youth ministry to promote indigenous products of local young entrepreneurs, was held on Wednesday at Naga Shopping Arcade (Supermarket), Dimapur.
DABA mission director, Jongshimanen, informed that the event was organised to encourage and promote young entrepreneurs among the church members. He added that the event was organised by taking into consideration the potential of young people in different skills and making them self-reliant.
He informed that the products, which are being sold at the event, are all made by local people. He added that the event was an annual programme of the department with the intention to not only sell products but to promote networking and partnerships.
He also mentioned that some of the former entrepreneurs of ‘Made in DABA’ are now internationally recognised. He added that the church would continue to support the entrepreneurs even in the days to come.
A total of 35 stalls including nine food stalls and 26 non-food were put on display.
