Twenty-two wrestlers have been selected during CWA 25th Tournament Anniversary held at Pfutsero to participate in the forthcoming NWA 25th Tournament Anniversary at Khuochiezuo, Kohima Local Ground on March 10 and 11 next.
The selected wrestlers include champion Vechita Khesoh from Yoruba village, Venuzo Dawhuo (Thenyizu), Vekutho Soho (Phek) and Küku-o Getsa (Pholami) who grabbed the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots respectively.
Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Murohu Chotso graced the closing ceremony of CWA wrestling tourney on February 19 and gave away the prizes.
Selected wrestlers, both Naga Style and Free Style, have been asked to report for a 10-day coaching camp to be held at Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium, Kohima from February 24 to March 4. CWA further expressed its gratitude to Espoir & Lightway Society, Pfutsero for rendering free services.
New CWA Team
Vezuhu Keyho of Phek Village has been unanimously nominated as President of CWA for the tenure 2016-2020. Other office bearers are Vezuhu Keyho and Tsolhi Wetsah-vice president, Küveo Cükhamu-general secretary, Zachita Tetseo and Kewetso Marhu-joint secretary, Mapo Swuro- finance, Thepuchiyi Nyekha-press, Kunezo Puro-treasurer, Huvesu Puro- technical secretary and Mesulo Khalo will be the secretary in charge of property. The two representatives to NWA are Vekhosa Ruho and Deo Movi while the audit committee will consist of Vekupa Venuh, Kope Kronu and Thupuvezo Curha.
