Couples’ Sunday Service was today conducted for legislators and their wives at the State Banquet Hall which was attended by the chief minister, TR Zeliang, and his lady wife accompanied by most of the legislators along with their wives, which was addressed by renowned Naga motivational speaker Rev. Luoliehu Yimsong.
Rev. Yimsong stressed on the need to be faithful to each other and to pay importance to the family as much as they give importance to their political career.
“Marriage is to be honoured by all, and husbands and wives must be faithful to each other. God will judge those who are immoral and those who commit adultery,” he quoted the Holy Bible, and went on to emphasise that “God Almighty must be in every marriage if married life is to succeed.” “Perfect Marriage is made in Heaven,” he said, “But maintenance is done on Earth.”
Also quoting from the Bible, the Reverend exhorted the husbands to be “happy with your wife and find the joy with the girl you married.”
He stressed that couples must enjoy life together and that they should find time to have outings often and to arrange quality time with each other frequently. He said family prayers are essential to bind the family together and to make a house a home, adding couples must learn to appreciate each other.
“Let your children know that you are deeply in love with each other and when you stop to count your blessings don’t forget to include your spouse,” he said.
