DIMAPUR — Nagaland Congress party has formed a Village Congress Committee (VCC) in Kiding village under 52 Longkhim-Chare Assembly Constituency in Tuensang disrrict.
“This development highlights Congress’ commitment to serving the people at the grassroots and progress within the community,” an update from NPCC stated.
The event, chaired by Atsongba, block level agent (BLA) of Kiding village, began with an invocation prayer said by village pastor C Likhum, while the welcome address was delivered by M Tinglise, VCC president, wherein he emphasised the importance of the gathering for the village’s future and Congress’ local presence.
In a short speech, the village council chairman, Chemlongse, appreciated the Congress party’s dedication to grassroots, noting that it reflected the party’s genuine commitment to its people. He observed that the current political instability at the central level presents an opportunity for Congress, anticipating the party’s return to power soon.
Speeches were also delivered by Chotsase, president of the District Congress Committee (DCC), Tuensang, and Tsipongchem, DCC vice president, who reinforced Congress’ dedication to community development and growth.
The event concluded with an inspiring exhortation by Head Gaon Bura (GB), Holingsing.
It stated that the village council has extended best wishes for the party’s success in achieving its vision for the people.
