The present Congress government of Manipur has been looting all the public money by blaming the Centre for not sanctioning funds. This accusation was made by Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram while attending an election campaign of BJP for the coming ADC elections of June 1.He along with BJP Manipur Pradesh leaders today attended a BJP public campaign held at Town Hall situated at Ukhrul district headquarter.
Giving his chief guest speech in the function, Union Minister further said that the Centre is honestly reluctant to release funds to the state government as the money has been misused in between and no real development has taken up so far. He also opined that development in hill areas of Manipur took a backseat as the state government failed to bestow proper power to the ADC members. Oram further said that there has been no significance change happening in the state even though he had visited the state four times. He appealed all to the voters to support BJP to bring proper welfare to hill areas as the elected BJP members will have the convenience to bring up various development plans to the BJP govt at Centre.
Oram also blamed the prolonged Congress rule in Centre for not appointing any Union Minister from Manipur during their reign, and demanded the attention of people that BJP govt during PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s time had made the then MP Th Chaoba from Manipur as an Union Minister.
BJP Manipur president Th Chaoba also accused the Congress state government for being totally corrupt. He urged the public to join PM Narendra Modi’s drive in eradicating corruption from the country by dethroning the corrupt Congress government in the next General Elections of 2017. He appealed the voters to start supporting BJP in the coming ADC Elections as a first step.
The election campaign was also attended by BJP General Secretary (Administration) M Ashwinikumar and Media Affairs Secretary Laimayum Basanta Sharma.
