Dimapur, June 8 (EMN): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has demanded the termination of “illegal appointees” — 12 lecturers, eight demonstrators and three work superintendents — made between August 2016 and March 2022 under the Directorate of Technical Education.

Citing the office memorandum issued by the department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms on June 6, 2016 regarding ban of appointment on contract basis, the association has asked the concerned department to expedite the requisition process and let it reach the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) by June 30.

It went on to say that it will be compelled to file an FIR against the appointing authorities for infringing the fundamental rights under Indian Constitution if the concerned department fails to take action before the end of this month.

The CTAN went on to say that it won’t accept the recruitment done by the Directorate of Technical Education for the posts of lecturers and demonstrators through advertisement dated November 26, 2011.

“As per the department, the contract appointment done on 22nd and 23rd Feb. 2022 for the posts of 21 lecturers and 12 demonstrators have already been requisitioned to NPSC but yet as on 24th may 2022, no requisition copy has reached the NPSC,” read the press release.
