Dimapur, Oct. 30 (EMN): In line with the stand of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang   (ABAM) and Ao Senden, the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has expressed dismay over the advisory issued by the state government.

It may be mentioned the advisory directed all the officers to be in the station in view of the visit of President of India to Nagaland, coinciding with the sesquicentennial celebration of Christianity in the state scheduled from November 1 to the 3rd.

CNTC, in an update, termed the timing of President’s visit as unfortunate and appealed to state government not to restrict anyone from attending the celebration but make alternative viable arrangements to the community to celebrate the event free from interference.

Since the sesquicentennial celebration is not only historic to the ABAM but to the whole of Nagaland and that it has been long planned event, CNTC opined that such advisory by government or any organisation should be avoided.

The council also extended greetings to the ABAM in their preparation to celebrate the coming of Christianity in Ao Naga soil and to all well-wishers who would be joining in the celebration.
