Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): To ensure that the state is prepared in tackling challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic in all situations, Central Naga Students’ Association (CNSA) has sought the intervention of the Nagaland Governor to upgrade all district hospitals and community healthcare centres with basic minimum equipment and facilities to cater to the patients.
In a representation to Nagaland Governor RN Ravi, CNSA has requested for TrueNAT micro RT PCR equipment in all the district headquarters while processing and installing the BSL labs. The student organisation has also sought to train and upgrade skills of doctors and laboratory technicians to start immediately in collaboration with reputed medical research centres and universities in India.
The CNSA representation, jointly appended by its president Himato Yeptho and general secretary Lipemo M Tsopoe, also demanded a thorough probe into the alleged ‘mishandling’ issues of the returnees from Tuensang and eastern Nagaland areas under his supervision and to initiate strict action as per the request of the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF).
The association has further demanded to constitute an ‘Anti-corruption cell’ under his direct supervision and to ensure equal distribution of development activities in the state.
Meanwhile, CNSA has appreciated his ideals and principles in making Nagaland a peaceful, developed and corrupt-free state. It also affirmed its support and co-operation in strengthening his hand for a new Nagaland.
