Dimapur, Oct. 1 (EMN): Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) has decided to observe the third Sunday of October as Naga National Prayer Day. The decision to this effect was taken during the NSCN (IM) national assembly held on May 31, 2022.
CNC general secretary, Rev. Seksim Kasar, has appealed to all the citizens and leaders of all faiths and beliefs to set apart a brief moment during their usual congregational worship service of the day and pray for the nation.
The main focus of prayer on the National Prayer Day included acknowledging God, who is for the Nagas and to sanctify his name among the people; seek forgiveness of the sins of the forefathers and present generation, seek God’s guidance and blessing for every Naga citizen; seek God’s preservation of every inch of Naga territory till to the end time; confession of faith in the savior and commitment to the cause and pledge to Naga flag and constitution — the embodiment of national identity and sovereign power.
