CM condoles demise wife of former Nagaland Governor Shyamal Datta

Dimapur, Dec. 29 (EMN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday condoled the demise of Ishani Datta, wife of Shyamal Datta, former Governor of Nagaland, on December 24.

Rio shared that she was a ‘good role model as a wife, a mother and a grandmother, who stood by her family through all kinds of situations’.

“She was someone who was warm-hearted and a kind soul, who will always be remembered for her pleasant personality and her supportive role all throughout her husband’s career.

Her absence will be dearly missed but the wonderful memories she had left behind will be cherished for all times to come,” Rio said.

He further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members, and prayed that Almighty God will give them comfort and strength to bear the irreparable loss.
