Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener releases the book on 48th foundation day of Clark Theological College in Mokokchung on Monday.

Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Clark Theological College, Aolijen in Mokokchung district celebrated its 48th foundation day on Monday.

Despite the present situation, the members of the college assembled at the multi-court to thank God for His ceaseless leading hand throughout the past 48 years, stated an update.

In his message, principal of the college Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener encouraged the members to walk the extra mile for the well-being of the institution and for the glory of God.

“If God has done wondrous things, what role you and I would like to play for the well-being of the college,” he asked the members.

He appealed the Clark community to ‘pray more for CTC; give more to CTC, appreciate more and more of what God has done in and through the life and Ministry of Clark Theological College’.

On the occasion, a book titled “Pastoral Care and Counselling: Towards Cultural Fidelity among Naga Youth,” was also released by the principal.

The book was written by Dr Boholi Z Sema, currently teaching at Clark Theological College in the department of Christian Ministry (pastoral counselling) and was published by Christian World Imprints, Delhi.

Looking at the reality of contemporary Naga youth and their everyday co-existence with others in cities outside of Nagaland and it’s bearing on the lifestyle of the Naga youth, the book argues that the academic community need ‘new consciousness’ and for which the author identified and proposed a few counselling theories and approaches that are critical in exploring and addressing concerns of the fidelity of Naga culture and Naga Youth, stated a communique from Prof. L Imsutoshi Jamir, director of Clark Communication and Cultural Research Centre, HOD Communication Studies and Editor, Clark Journal of Theology.
