Chümoukedima administration conducts outreach programme
DIMAPUR — As part of the state SVEEP initiative for special summary revision 2024-2025, the office of the deputy commissioner and district election officer of Chümoukedima, in collaboration with the Nagaland Sports Association (NSA), conducted an outreach programme at Tetso College on August 22 and 23 on the theme “Sports for votes.”
On August 22, the programme began with a welcome address delivered by the college principal and introduction by the Nagaland Sports Association (NSA) officials, stated a DIPR report.
It stated that an interactive booth was set up by election office, Chümoukedima, at the college campus to give assistance and facilitate first time voters. It added that EVM and VVPAT demonstrations were also carried out, while the process of online registration was demonstrated by campus ambassadors of Pataki College.
On the second day, various sports activities were conducted with the participation of an approximately 200 students.
The two-day outreach programme saw active participation by the young students of Tetso College and significant registration among young eligible voters.
