Chumbenthung Humtsoe earns specialist certification in basketball

DIMAPUR — Chumbenthung Humtsoe from Nagaland successfully completed the Sports Performance Specialist Level 1 certification, which was conducted by the Basketball Federation of India in collaboration with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Regional Office Asia in Chennai.

According to an update, this certification event took place at ECR in Chennai and was led by Amir Eid from Lebanon, the founder of Miami Fitness and the strength and conditioning coach for Saudi Arabia Basketball. The programme also featured Veselin Matic from Serbia, a former Indian basketball coach.

It stated that Humtsoe’s achievement is a demonstration of his dedication and passion for the sport and mentioned that his qualifications also include the World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 certification.

The Nagaland Basketball Association expressed immense pride in his accomplishments, highlighting his dedication to the sport and ongoing pursuit of excellence.

They emphasised that his new certification sets a benchmark for coaches and players alike and will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and success of basketball in the state.
