Chief Minister’s relief fund: Districts admns. appeals for contribution
Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): A coordination meeting of all the administrative officers, head of departments, churches, heads of educational institutions, Chamber of Commerce & Industries, NGOs and civil societies of Longleng was held on Sep. 12 at the DC’s conference hall.
Deputy Commissioner Longleng John Tsulise Sangtam highlighted the scenario of the places affected by the unprecedented incessant rainfall.
He apprised the members of Governor PB Acharya’s meeting with the deputy commissioners and read out his appeal to all the NGOs, schools and colleges, religious groups, bureaucrats, political activities, workers, and farmers to share and care for the flood victims of the state.
The DC said that donation for relief must reach in time to ensure that it does not go in vain. He also appealed to come forward and contribute generously in rebuilding the lives of the affected people.
It was decided during the meeting that it would ask for donation from all government employees, students, businessmen, NGOs and civil societies, village council, religious groups, political activities and well-wishers and submit the collected amount to the DC’s office on or before Sep. 20.
The deputy commissioner (DC) of Tuensang, L Jamithung Lotha has requested everyone from the district to contribute generously towards the CM’s Relief fund, and submit the collected amount to the DC on or before Sep. 18.
