Changtongya gets multi-purpose community centre
Mokokchung — A multi-purpose community centre constructed by the department of Tribal Affairs under SCA to TSS (2020-21) was inaugurated at Changtongya village, some 45 km from Mokokchung town, on Saturday.
IGP (Range) Nagaland, Lima Sunep Jamir, who was the chief guest of the event, unveiled the plaque of the new building. Acknowledging the workmanship of the building, Jamir said that “for our future we should not be profit mongers but individuals who work for the betterment and welfare of the village.”
He also acknowledged former advisor Imnatiba under whose initiatives the multi-purpose community centre has finally materialised. He appealed to the citizens of Changtongya to foster trust and unity and to build social relations and bond with neighbouring villages to usher a progressive and vibrant society.
He further called upon the people of Changtongya to unite and put their attention into moulding and shaping youth into influential leaders for a better future.
As per the technical report, the multi-purpose centre was completed at an approximate cost of INR 100 lakh.
