Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): The Chakhesang Gazetted Officer’ Association (CGOA) has expressed deepest sorrow and condolences to the bereaved family on sudden demise of Dikhrolo Mero, retired engineer-in-chief on Oct. 10 in Dimapur. The CGOA said Mero who had served the association in various capacities including president and the executive member. “He was a kindhearted and a humble Officer whose concern for social welfare and upliftment of the downtrodden led him to be associated with various social organizations. He earned respect and admiration of the people for his simplicity and generosity. His yeoman’ services to the people shall always be remembered” the condolence message stated.
In his demise, the CGOA expressed that Chakhesang community in particular and the Nagas in general have lost an efficient and a humble officer whose place cannot be easily filled. Further, the association prayed that the Almighty God grant strength and solace to the bereaved family at this hour of grief and the departed soul to rest in peace.
