Dimapur, June 22 (EMN): The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has strongly condemned the heinous and barbaric rape that took place on June 15 at Tuensang town by one Lemba Chang of Hakchang village.
The Confederation while condemning the horrific act against a minor expressed its deep concern for the life and dignity of women in the society.
“It appears ironic that female sections is taunted, molested and abused in all walks of life and they were not safe even in her own house and questions arise as to how far women are safeguarded and secured today in the society” CCSU stated.
CCSU appealed the concerned authority to award befitting punishment to the culprit though it would not suffice the pain minors underwent and the trauma the families are facing.
