CAN Youth organises orientation cum community action day

Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): The CAN Youth, a social initiatives organised orientation cum community action day programme on ‘Samvidhan LIVE!, the Jagrik project, on Nov. 25 at North East Institute for Social Science & Research (NEISSR) conference Hall.
The Samvidhan LIVE!, the Jagrik project is a nation-wide initiative anchored by a Delhi based organisation Com-Mutiny the Youth Collective (CYC) involving young people in the practical field of constitutional fundamental rights and duties with various task given during the process of the campaign. Its main objective is to promote young people aware of their fundamental rights and duties as a citizen of India, the release informed.
The orientation workshop was facilitated by project coordinator, Sedelo T Vadeo and chief functionary of CAN Youthm Jenpu Rongmei. Introducing the Jagrik volunteers, facilitators asked the participants to share their self experienced on stereo-types.
The other session included reflection on value ranking of each individual, understanding and building ownership towards the constitution, forming of Jagrik volunteers and their responsibility to embark on a two months campaign.
In the evening session, the community action day was observed under the chairmanship of Katini Emily. Kivitoli Chishi, core-team member of CAN Youth invoked God’s blessing, while chief functionary of CAN Youth gave a brief picture about of the Samvidhan LIVE!
Alino Chishi shared his interest why she chose to be in the campaign. Litaholi Zalipu, former Jagrik volunteer encouraged the new volunteers to be non-judgmental, competent and committed to their task.
Asst. Prof. NEISSR Robert, encourage the volunteers by quoting the famous proverb of Swami Vivekananda “Give me few man and woman who are pure and selfless that will seek their endeavor.”
Philip Lorin, member of legal cell also the importance of constitutional Fundamental Rights and Duties and how important it plays to protect the dignity an individual in great condition in whichever human being can develop his personality to the fullest extent.
Coordinator Sedelo T Vadeo led the introduction and oath-taking for two months campaign to be carried out by Jagrik volunteers.
