Rev. Vilodi Sakhrie along with the executive members of the Chakhro Angami Kuda Students’ Union after the inauguration of a library in Phevima village on Saturday.

Dimapur, Nov. 12 (EMN): Pastor of Town Baptist Church, Rev. Vilodi Sakhrie, formally inaugurated the Chakhro Angami Kuda Students’ Union (CAKSU) library hall at Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU) office in Phevima village, Dimapur, on November 12.

An update from CAKSU informed that the library was initiated with a vision not only to make it into a learning hub for the people of the area but also encourage younger generations to read more. It added that all the books in the library are sourced purely from donations from well wishers.

With about 200 books in the library, the collection consisted of educational books for school and college students, competitive exam books for aspirants preparing for competitive exams, Tenyidie books and a whole section of books by various Naga authors, it informed.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Rev. Sakhrie apprised the gathering on the importance of a library in the area and appreciated the efforts of the Chakhro Angami Kuda Students’ Union (CAKSU). He also expressed his delight in having such library in the area saying that it was an asset for the community as a whole.

The programme was anchored by Visimetuo Nagi, CAKSU secretary of education and statistics, while an invocation was offered by Aneiu K Kerhuo, pastor of Baptist Revival Church Kuda, and the welcome address was delivered by Neizosienuo Solo, CAKSU vice president.

Short speech was delivered by Teiso Solo, CAKU president, while a song was presented by Kacharigaon Phevima Students’ Union (KPSU) and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kethosilie Belho, president of CAKSU.
