Business Association of Nagas condemns shooting incident in Dimapur

Dimapur, July 27 (EMN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has condemned the “indiscriminate shooting” incident at the business premises of its Joint Secretary, Maj. Vikuto Asumi (Retd. Indian Army) by unknown miscreants.

An update from the association informed that the incident came to light on July 26 when a staff opened the shutter of the business establishment located at Naga shopping arcade and found the glass panels shattered and a bullet hole in the shutter.

“Such unwarranted shooting in a busy business area not only causes loss of property but endangers lives and compromises security of individuals who wish to run their businesses peacefully,” read the press release.

A first information report (FIR) has been lodged on the incident at East Police Station, Dimapur, it added.

While condemning the dastardly act, the BAN also called upon the police to diligently investigate the matter, arrest and book the culprits at the earliest.
