Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): In a shocking incident, a 12 year old girl was found dead with her throat slit in Phaipijang village, Dimapur, on July 1 evening.
According to reports from the women’s cell at East Police Station, the minor was living with her uncle and aunt in Phaipijang.
The incident was made known after the uncle and aunt had returned from the locality church around 7:30 pm.
When contacted, additional commissioner of police (ACP), women’s cell, informed that the brutal act was suspected to have committed between 6 pm and 7:30 pm. The crime was suspected to have committed at the time when the aunt and uncle were away attending the church service.
With no further clue, police are yet to ascertain the motive behind the killing.
