Kohima, Dec. 18 (EMN): Bright Morning Star Children Home (BMSCH) in Kohima celebrated its 10th foundation day on December 14 with Alongti Ao, OSD to the minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs minister Temjen Imna Along, as the special guest.

BMSCH, located at Perizie colony in Kohima, is run by (IW) Charitable Society founded by Abi Angami. (IW) Charitable Society is an NGO working for the welfare of less privileged children, women and elderly people.

Speaking on the occasion, Alongti observed that the children are talented and smart and advised them to continue using their talents to glorify God. He also encouraged the children to do well in every field and consider themselves lucky to be in the hands of dedicated mentors.

He also appreciated the management for their hard work and making the home accessible for children in need from all parts of Nagaland.

The advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, also delivered a short speech.

“We should always aim to start from a humble beginning and not rush to get everything,” he said.

Meanwhile, Abi Angami has expressed gratitude to all the well-wishers and supporters for being part of the home.

Alenuo Angami, superintendent of BMSCH, shared about the initial struggles and quoted the Bible verse, “With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible” (Mathew 19.26).

“It is because of God’s grace alone, the home was able to reach this milestone,” she said. She acknowledged all the people who have supported the Home since the inception till date.

She further appreciated her team of hard working staff– past and present– for their dedications towards the ministry and the children in particular.

On the occasion, children performed songs, cultural dance and testimonies were shared by Medongunuo, Thepfulhoutuo and Nyimangmongsen.

The function was chaired by Watisenla, while Rokuovizo Chupuo advisor, IDEAL (IW) Charitable Society, invoked God’s blessing. Kehousilie Angami, advisor of IDEAL (IW) Charitable Society, said a prayer for the ministry and concluded with a benediction said by Amongla.
