Bhandari Baptist Church celebrates centenary jubilee

Wokha, March 27 (EMN): A two-day centenary jubilee celebration of Bhandari Village Baptist Church got underway at Bhandari village on March 27, which was marked by unveiling and dedication of a monolith the secretary of Lotha Baptist Church Association (LBCA), Rev. Dr. L Tsanso.

LBCA president, Rev. O Thungben Kikon, said the invocation, while Rev. N Longshi Lotha, pastor of Bhandari Town Baptist Church, spoke on the theme and Rev. Benathung Humtsoe, pastor of Tsori Old Baptist Church, released a book on the 100 years history of Bhandari village Baptist Church.

Rev. Kaifa Ezung, director of AEFNEI Dimapur, spoke on the theme “Jisu na kumali sav” (Psalms 146:10).
Also speaking at the programme, Rev. Fr. Renthungo Victor, secretary to Bishop Diocese of Kohima, called upon the congregation to come together in God’s love to reconcile, reform and proclaim the goodness of life and receive an enduring blessing. He also encouraged the gathering to bring about change in all aspects and come closer to God.
