BAM to organise boxing camp from October 10

DIMAPUR — After the successful intensive free boxing coaching camp in the month of July this year which saw the participation of 165 participants, the Boxing Association Mokokchung (BAM) is taking another significant step to promote the sport of boxing in the district in a professional manner.

An update from the association informed that the next coaching camp would be for the age group of 9-14 years old, both boys and girls, from October 10 to the 24th. The coaching camp is being organised in collaboration with the department of Youth Resources and Sports (DYRS) and Nagaland Amateur Boxing Association (NABA).

It stated a professional boxing coach and two Nagaland senior boxers as assistants have been roped in to conduct the camp.

BAM informed that elaborate logistic arrangements for holding the camp have been completed at P Shilu Ao Park, Imkongmeren Sports Complex. It also informed that registration for attending the upcoming camp would be free and added that forms would be available at Bio-Medical (pharmacy) at Imlong Place, Mokokchung. It further informed that collection of forms and registration would be done at the venue on October 9 from 3:30 pm onwards.
