Awareness session on National Career Service held in Phek
KOHIMA — The District Employment Office, Model Career Centre (MCC), Phek, organised an awareness session on the National Career Service (career guidance) at Christian Home School in Phek on June 3.
According to an update, the programme aimed at promoting and spreading awareness of the National Career Service under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Speaking on the occasion, Sekhosayi Vero, Employment Officer, MCC Phek, emphasised the varied career opportunities available and the significance of skill-related courses amidst traditional career ventures.
Roseline Pojar, lower division assistant and computer assistant, shared her journey as a student as well as her success in clearing the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) exam in 2022.
Zhozoto Nakro, Young Professional, MCC Phek, discussed career selection based on the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) and RIASEC (realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional) assessments.
The programme was sponsored by the Directorate General of Employment, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
