Awareness programme on cyber security and financial fraud held at Tuensang
DIMAPUR – With the aim of educating people about the rising threat of cybercrime, a cyber security and financial fraud awareness programme was held at Town Hall, Tuensang, on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, Putiyanger, ASI, cybercrime cell, emphasised that cybercrime is on the rise and highlighted some of the most common ones, such as cyberstalking, credit card fraud, identity theft, investment scams, online loan app scams, etc.
He said that cybercrime has become highly organised, and everyone needs to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities without hesitation.
The programme, which was organised by DEF Tuensang, was attended by police personnel and representatives from various government offices in Tuensang.
Chilliam Khiam, ASI, chaired the event.
