Awards and awardees

An award is a life time achievement. Yourare honoured for being truthful to yourself, honest with department and doing justice to your profession. When it comes to the word “award”, we always find another word “deserve” as an accompanying word.
We all believe in Jesus Christ, but not everyone is a practising Christian. Nagaland has thousands of teachers but not all are practicing teachers. Of late, only fortunate ones are identified and given due recognition by right authority at the right time. God bless the concerned authority that honours our deserving teachers.
Times have changed a great deal; somewhere down the lane unfortunate ones remain unattended till retirement. I always believe in truth and there’s nothing to lose. You are an outstanding person in the eyes of God. The truth in you speaks volume. People’s appreciation is no better than God’s reward. For some awardees if your conscience partially disagrees with award bestowed upon you by department, take it as a challenge, renew your vows and re-dedicate yourself one more time. Remember this award when old habit haunts you back.
My salute to teachers with “NO SALARY” on auspicious Teacher’s Day. Braving all difficulties for months, you could still wear smile on your face as though everything is fine. What a beauty!
Heartiest congratulations to all awardees. Only quality teacher can give quality teaching and have all qualities of a teacher. Award in true sense is a hard earned trophy but it doesn’t end there. You continue to be professional and dutiful till retirement is respecting your medal lifetime. God bless the skillful and inspiring teachers.
