Athletic meet under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ held in Kohima

DIMAPUR— The two-day Inter-School Athletic Meet organised by Kohima district administration in collaboration with the District Sports Office, Kohima District Athletic Association and District Hub for Empowerment of Women under “Beti Bachao Beti Bachao” campaign, concluded on the July 21.

During the closing ceremony, Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Shanavas C encouraged all the participants to strive for better in the field of sports, and also commended the performance of the participants in the two-day event, an update stated.

Around 300 female students from 33 private and government schools in Kohima participated in sporting event held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. “The campaign has been rolled out for the first time in Kohima district and the office of the Deputy Commissioner is the nodal agency for the campaign,” the update stated.
