DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Wangla in Mon district on Tuesday, with the aim of providing healthcare services to residents of remote areas and ensuring access to essential medical care.
According to a press release, a total of 115 individuals from nearby villages, including 42 males, 46 females, and 27 children, benefited from the medical camp.
During the camp, a healthy lifestyle lecture was provided, along with general medicines, including treatment for bruises, to the local populace.
It also launched Meri LiFE on May 7 in Tuensang, aligning with the Indian government’s LiFE (Life for Environment) initiative. This initiative advocates for a collective commitment to judicious and intentional resource utilisation, countering the prevalent trend of indiscriminate and detrimental consumption of natural resources.
The release mentioned that on the occasion, a pledge ceremony was conducted, wherein the Assam Rifles personnel and their families vowed their dedication to environmental conservation.
