DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised a wreath-laying ceremony at Ghaspani to honour the bravery of Riflemen (General Duty) Dulap Singh, Ravindran Pillai, and Prem Singh.

In a press statement, it was noted that they made the supreme sacrifice on July 2, 1992, at the university campus, Canchipur, while deployed at Thoubal during Operation Hifazat in Manipur.

The event was attended by three officers, 21 junior commissioned officers, and 252 other ranks from the battalion.

The attendees were briefed on how the fallen heroes displayed conspicuous gallantry, indomitable resolve, grit, determination, and selflessness beyond the call of duty, making the supreme sacrifice in the true tradition of the force.
