Assam Rifles brightens villages with solar street lights

DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Sunbird Trust, provided 45 solar street lights to the villages of Waphar, Lower Dan, and Upper Dan in the remote border areas of Shamator and Noklak districts on Wednesday.

According to an update, the villagers were also educated on the installation, maintenance, and usage of the lights.

Meanwhile, the force also organised a friendly volleyball match with the locals of Langnyok village, Noklak district, on Wednesday to foster goodwill, mutual understanding, and harmony between the security forces and the local population.
