AR Training Centre and School in Nagaland awarded Best Police Training Institute
DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles Training Centre and School at Shokhuvi, Nagaland, has been adjudged as the Best Police Training Institute for soldiers on the occasion of 53rd Foundation Day.
The Brig Suresh Kumar Sheoran, YSM, SM, DIG, ARTC&S received the prestigious Union Home Minister’s Trophy at a function in New Delhi on Tuesday, said an update from PRO Defence.
Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, was the chief guest of the event.
A national-level screening and survey of various Central Police Training Institutes is conducted every year to select the best training institute.
“The premium institute has achieved this extraordinary feat under the able guidance of Lt Gen PC Nair, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, PhD, Directorate General Assam Rifles for demonstrating excellence in training and producing highly skilled soldiers. The Assam Rifles Training Centre and School has consistently demonstrated commitment to excellence in the training and development of its soldiers and the award is a testament to their efforts,” read the press release.
“The institute has been recognised for its comprehensive training programs, experienced and dedicated faculty, innovativeness, and state-of-the-art infrastructure,” it added.
The Union Home Minister Trophy aims to promote excellence in the training and development of soldiers. The award not only recognizes the achievements of the institute but also has set higher standards for other training institutes all over the country for the training of soldiers, said the update.
