DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at ITC DAN village in Noklak on Tuesday, aimed at providing healthcare services to villagers.
According to a press release, a total of 119 individuals from the village, comprising 33 males, 49 females, and 37 children, benefited from the medical camp.
The event concluded with a lecture on enhancing awareness of Japanese encephalitis.
The force also distributed sewing machines and a rice milling machine to Pathso village on the same day.
This initiative aimed to empower women by providing tools to generate income, encouraging them to take up skilled jobs, and enabling villagers to process rice more efficiently, reducing reliance on external milling services and increasing the economic viability of local agriculture.
