Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): The Ao Senden on Tuesday implored the chief minister of Nagaland to release the pledged amount of INR 1.7 crore for the Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) road maintenance in Mokokchung.
The apex body of the Ao tribe, reminded that two months had lapsed since the pledge was announced during the 12th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on September 22.
It was said that work would start ‘as and when the working season arrives’, Ao Senden said, while pointing out the amount was yet to be sanctioned even though “the dry season has already arrived”.
“It is pertinent to note here that the people of Mokokchung are growing impatient and anxious while several organisations are already voicing out in deep concern. The said road is indeed in a really bad shape that needs immediate maintenance,” it stated.
