ANPSA inter-school sports meet underway

Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): The 20th All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Inter-School Sports Meet kicked off with a grand start at Greenwood Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Dimapur under the theme ‘Exploring Talents through Sports’ on Wednesday, Nov. 1. All member-schools of ANPSA are participating in this year’s two-day sports meet.
The inaugural programme was graced by Rev. Moses Murry, General Superintendent, The Assemblies of God, East India.
Some of the highlights of the inaugural programme were invocation prayer by Sedelu Peseyie, Principal of (GHSS), Flag hoisting by chief guest, welcome address by Andrew Ahoto, President of ANPSA Dimapur Unit and march past by different contingents of various schools. Dr. R. Francis, Sports Secretary ANPSA Dimapur Unit, administered the Oath for the Sports Meet.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, Rev. Moses Murry appreciated the participation of the students, teachers and Heads of various schools in the event. He exhorted the participants to put their heart and soul to sports and games as it plays an important role in an individual’s life and unites an entire society. He also advised the students to abide by the rules and regulations of the games and accept the decisions of the judges. Quoting the Holy Bible, the Chief Guest stressed that a champion can shine as a champion only with the blessings of God. After his thought provoking speech, the Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet open.
