AMWJU to organise Loktak lake tour on December 24

All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) is organizing a press conducted tour to Loktak lake in association with the Loktak Development Authority on December 24.
AMWJU General secretary Jit Ningomba informed this while speaking to media on the sideline of a gathering at Manipur Press Club premises in Imphal on Tuesday.
AMWJU functionary also informed that the press tour was organized for reporting purpose.He appealed to its members belonging to respective media organisations to report at the Manipur Press Club before 8.30 am.
He also appealed to the journalists’ community to join candle light vigil of late Dijamani (Nanao) on his the death anniversary at Cheirao Ching Thameiband at 4 pm of December 23.
Ealier expressing gratitude for the dedication made by the journalist community, the Salai Holdings Private Limited Company made a financial contribution of Rs 30,000 to AMWJU.
The amount was handed over to AMWJU Vice-President A Bhakta and General Secretary Jit Ningomba on Monday at the Manipur Press Club premises in Imphal by the Company’s secretary, Social and Political Affair and Public Relations, Brojendro Yumlembam and Wahengbam Khelindra Special Secretary to Chairman and Managing Director.
The representatives of the Manipur-based company, which was incorporated on October 15 last year with it’s head office at Sagolband Tera Loukhrampam Leirak in Imphal, said that the contribution was made to encourage the journalist community as a token of respect. The company also sought help and suggestion for media for further growth and development in future.
