Dimapur, Aug. 18 (EMN): The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has requested the state government to address the plight of the All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Group (ANTAG) 2015 batch at the earliest and deliver justice to sincere employees.

This came days after the ANTAG threatened to resume the hunger strike, which was called off in 2018, if the government fails to regularise their services within one month (August 21).

In a letter addressed to Commissioner Secretary, Department of School Education, the ANSTA said that the aggrieved Adhoc teachers, who were appointed between 1995 and 2012, had been rendering their service for years and won’t be able to find another job for their livelihood, having past their prime.

It stated the ANATG-2015 batch had also undergone suitability test for service regularisation and the same had been acknowledged by the government but the regularisation process is yet to materialize.

Expressing concern over the disruption ANATG’s agitation would cause to schools and students, the association said the state government should immediately intervene and address the issue.
