All Nagaland inter-college basketball tourney begins

DIMAPUR— Incessant rain failed to dampen the spirits of young basketeers from various colleges across the state, as they took part in All Nagaland Inter College Basketball Championship which began on Wednesday at JV Rise Foundation Basketball Court, Signal Angami in Dimapur.

A total of eight matches were played on the opening day, informed an update received here on Wednesday.

A total of 10 colleges are competing in the men’s category and four colleges in women’s category. The first leg of matches will be played in league format, after which the qualifying teams will go to the knockout rounds.

The finale is slated to be played on June 16.
