DIMAPUR—  The five-day All India Football Federation (AIFF) D’ license course initiated by the Khiamniungan Sports Council (KSC) under the aegis of Nagaland Football Association (NFA), at IG Stadium, Kohima, concluded on Friday.

Addressing the closing ceremony, NFA president K Neibou Sekhose urged the coaches to give back to the society by sharing the knowledge they learned during coaching camp, an update stated.

Sekhose said a coach needs to have patience, understanding and a good character to be a role model and to bring out the best out of players.

He informed that the introduction of Football for Schools project by All India Football Federation has given Nagaland the opportunity to train more coaches with the motive to have qualified coaches in all the schools in the state.

Informing that the association will be organising a AIFF C licence course this year, he also urged the coaches to set their target for C license course.

President of KSC Musho Lam said that due to lack of adequate infrastructure and facilities in Noklak district, the course was taken up in Kohima .

The instructor of the coaching camp, N William Koso, AIFF D coach educator and AFC A licensed coach, expressed optimism that with the introduction of the course to the trainees for Noklak district, the district will produce quality footballers.

Altogether, 24 football coaches from Noklak district took part in the weeklong camp. The results of the course will be announced by AIFF at a later date.
